Sam Solakyan Combines Entrepreneurship with Philanthropy

light bulb with plant growing inside

Being a successful entrepreneur and business profile has given Sam Solakyan the opportunity to pursue his own personal goals, to work with passion on projects and to give back to the community. Such opportunities have brought great value to Sam’s life. Leading back to his childhood years, Sam’s urge to help people has been strong. There are moments of contemplation in every entrepreneurs life where they face the ultimate entrepreneurial dilemma: try to build something on their own or take a job working for someone else. For Solakyan the answer to that question has always been obvious. The entrepreneurial life has given him many opportunities to give back and make his community a better place. If he chose to follow down the path of another then Solakyan may not be able to do the philanthropy work he loves.

Given his experience with entrepreneurship, Solakyan now encourages those with even the smallest desire to become an entrepreneur to take the step and do it! To do something that you love and at the same time being able to help others brings great value to anyone’s life. It may seem like a giant step to take, but Sam’s belief is that the dream of creating something on your own is worth the risk. The road of an entrepreneur will certainly present challenges, however if you combine passion with persistence, you will eventually reach a state of satisfaction. Today, there are great assets and tons of information for anyone who wants to spread their entrepreneurial wings; a naturally huge advantage that wasn’t available to yesterday’s entrepreneurs. In essence, the dream of becoming an entrepreneur is closer than ever.

Sam Solakyan in the Pursuit of Advancement

Sam Solakyan epitomizes the traits of a successful entrepreneur with his ceaseless determination and ingenuity. One for sharing his visions and making them a reality, Solakyan has been avid in the advancement of medical technology and distributing them out to the public.

In 2012, Sam learned about the growing decline in medical technologies and emergency response equipment at his local community hospital, Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. He quickly extended aid to bring in what the hospital required. During mid-February, he was honored for his charity and was offered a Commendation from the city of Burbank. “In a rapidly growing population like ours, we absolutely must find a way to provide health, safety and peace officers with the most state of the art and up to date equipment necessary to do their job. Recent events and statistics have proven that without state of the art emergency response systems in place, timing rescue of injured victims or responding to potentially dangerous criminal situations take longer therefore endangering lives. If we as citizens can find the resources to provide these, we will be grateful if, God forbid, we find ourselves in a crisis situation. Emergency situations are the great equalizer, they happen to the rich and poor alike regardless of race, color or creed,” said Solakyan during his address. He continued during his address to say, “I grew up in The Valley and my first job opportunity was right here in Burbank. I will always be proud to give back to the community that has given so much to me over the years and continues to be the place I call home for me and my family.”

As CEO of Vital Imaging, Sam Solakyan has been behind the recent developments of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and X-Ray technologies. These new devices have been placed in many hospitals and medical centers in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles areas. These new machines are the corner stone of Solakyan’s determination to allowing all to get the medical care they need.
